Vin de Pays d'Oc

SITUATION
Domaine Astruc consists of 50 hectares on the "Coteaux Limouxin" of which 11 hectares are within the Limoux Appellation d'Origine Controlee and the other 39 hectares within the Vin de Pays d'Oc Appellation. The estate is planted with Chardonnay, Mauzac, Chenin, Viognier, Sauvignon, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Malbec. It has built its reputation thanks to its unique soils and climate. Since 1802, Domaine Astruc has been renowned for the quality of its wines.

SOIL & VINEYARD
Clay and limestone with gravels. 12 years old vines.

BLEND
100% Pinot Noir.

AVERAGE YIELD
30 Hl per hectare.

VINIFICATION
100% Pinot Noir grape.
Desteming of the grape, skin contact maceration at 12-15°celsius, for aromas extraction then we proceed to 15-20 days maceration with regular aeration.

AGEING
100% of the blend has been aged in oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES
Colour : Bright and lovely intense garnet-red colour
Nose : Very elegant with a quintessence of red fruits, blackcurrant, cherry, and spicy aromas with a hint of vanilla.
Mouth : It's a medium/full bodied wine, with good tannins which testify his capability to age. It develops very delicate aromas and a long lasting finish.

FOOD & WINE
16°Celsius. To be served with grilled meat, game and very good with cheese.
