SITUATION
Domaine Astruc consists of 50 hectares on the "Coteaux Limouxin" of which 11 hectares are within the Limoux Appellation d'Origine Controlee and the other 39 hectares within the Vin de Pays d'Oc Appellation. The estate is planted with Chardonnay, Mauzac, Chenin, Viognier, Sauvignon, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Malbec. It has built its reputation thanks to its unique soils and climate. Since 1802, Domaine Astruc has been renowned for the quality of its wines.

SOIL & VINEYARD
Clay and limestone with gravels locally.

BLEND
100% Chardonnay.

AVERAGE YIELD
65 hl/ha.

VINIFICATION
Grape destemming, for 30% of the blend, no skin contact, Pneumatic pressing and filtration of the must and lees, racking at 4 degree Celsius for clarification of the wine, fermentation at 18 degree Celsius for 24 days.

AGEING
25% of the blend is aged in oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES
Color: Light pale gold.
Nose: Intense with aromas of tropical and dry fruits (nuts).
Palate: Notes of vanilla, delicate flavours.

FOOD & WINE
At 10° C, it is best served with shell-fish, seafood, white meats.
